The Wasatch High School Waspettes competed in their first competition of the season over the weekend (Dec. 11 & 12). The UVU Drill Invitational began with the solo competition on Friday night, where Brianna Rasband placed 3rd in her jazz solo. Rachael Hales won 1st place in her lyrical solo; which she was able to perform again for the crowd at the team competition the next day. On Saturday the team took 3rd place for their Hip Hop routine, 4th place in their Military routine, and 4th place in their Dance routine. The Waspettes were awarded 4th place overall in the 4A division out of nine teams. The coaches and parents are extremely proud of the girls for working so hard to get this far, and are very excited to see what the rest of the season will bring. Come support the Waspettes at the high school basketball halftimes, as well as at their competitions. The girls will compete again on January 9th at Clearfield High School, January 16th at Bountiful High School, and then again at their region competition on January 28th at Salem Hills High School.
