A belated thanks!
A very special (but late) thank you to Sharon for her fantastic article in The Wave last week. Sharon submitted an article highlighting the Waspette participation in the Fair Days parade. The article highlighted the tribute to alumni our girls did with their costumes and included two wonderful pictures. It was a fantastic reminder to our community about the hard work our girls do!
Thank you Sharon for going above and beyond and truly helping to spread the word about Waspette pride!
P.S. Please let me know if anyone has any extra copies of this article so that we can include one in our scrapbook.
Go Waspettes!

We have a lot of exciting things happening, so here is a breakdown of what you can expect this week:
- Pocket Calendar Fundraiser:
- We will be selling our pocket calendars at most of the Back to School nights this week. The girls should have received their assignment today. Please note that Old Mill Elementary has canceled, so those girls will be assigned to other nights. Remember that this is a mandatory fundraiser and we expect all girls to participate. Please wear jeans, your white Love shirts, and your jackets.
- Wednesday Dress Rehearsal:
- In preparation of our assembly, we would like to hold a partial dress rehearsal during our regular practice on Wednesday. Please wear your black pants, black shoes, white bra, white cami, and white Love t-shirt. Wear your hair down with just your front pieces pinned back in the center. You do not need to wear make-up or tights. IN ADDITION: each girl MUST bring a pair of black knee highs to wear. These make a more polished look when we are dancing in pants. These are like tights, but only go to mid-calf/knee. You can buy them for less than a dollar at Walgreens or Walmart.
- Thursday Freshman Only:
- Yay freshman! Remember that we may have practice if we aren't quite ready!
- Friday Assembly:
- Stayed tuned! Know that you will NOT get much time before or after to get ready!

In order for this to happen, though, we need everyone's help! Please review the Bowling Tournament packet information sent home with your dancer. Additional copies can also be downloaded from the links below. The dates on these pages have been updated and are correct, so these may be a better option for showing your potential sponsors/players. Thanks for all you do and good luck!

Fair Days Parade Information
Alright, in case you haven't heard yet here are the details for the parade. We are #32 in the parade, which is right behind the cheerleaders, who are behind the band. We will be meeting at 4:00 p.m., in front of J.R. Smith.
Check-list for prior to the parade:
- Make-up should be natural looking, but darker than normal. Wear base AND powder. Come without any lipstick, unless you already have last year's color. Eyelashes are optional.
- Hair is SLICKED, parted on the left, and in a low pony tail.
- Make sure you have every piece of your costume on as you come to meet for the parade.
- Everyone needs to wear tights and some kind of mostly white sneaker.
- Drink a lot of water all day.
- Go to the bathroom before you come.
- As Maddie suggests, take some ibuprofen.
- NO underwear!
- Perform the whole time.
- Don't show anyone how tired you are.
- Walk on your toes.
- Be light on your feet, so we don't hear the shoe scrape.
