Wow! We are really deep into the Waspette competition season! So far, we have had three Competitions: Great Basin, UVU, and the Southern Utah Elite. We had lots of fun performing for the judges and we even took home some trophies. Way to go girls!

UVU Drill Inviational

Thank you for a super successful competition in Delta. Thank you for being there and giving the much needed support. It really helped in the girl's performance to have you there. This weekend we go to the UVU Invitation in Orem. I have attached a schedule of both the team and solo schedule for the weekend. Read below for the details. You will read in the details that they will not allow the girls to place blankets and/or save seats for you. At this competition the UVU event staff are pretty big sticklers about this. So I encourage you to get there as close as you can to 7:30 am, so we can all sit together again. I also think it would be fun if we could learn some of the Waspette cheers and do them as the Waspettes come onto the floor. Just an idea! The competition starts @ 8:00 am and we are 4th in the first division which is lyrical.

We will begin at 8:00 AM Saturday December 8th at the UCCU Events Center at UVU. The address is 800 W. University Ave. Estimated time of finishing is 7:30 PM, with drill down and awards to follow. Doors will open to the Public at 7:30 AM.

PARKING & TICKET PRICES: Please park only in the designated parking spaces, all lots will be available to be parked in on the day of the event. Ticket prices: Adults $8.00 each, Kids 5 and younger are free of charge. CASH ONLY (Please inform your parents of this.) Parents can purchase tickets at the ticket office and enter the arena 30min. prior to the competition start time.

Please tell your parents you could be performing as much as one hour earlier that’s stated on schedule. We have had parents miss their daughters’ performances because the parents did not arrive early enough. Remind your parents that we run on time or earlier than indicated in the program.

No team members may sit in the spectator area. The seats on the south side of the area will be reserved for team members.  Please do not allow team members to place blankets on the seats for their parents. It becomes a real problem when those who come to watch cannot find a place to sit.

Categories we compete in & start times:

Lyrical @ 8:00 am
Hip Hop @ 8:40 am
Military @ 10:40 am (We are last out of 9, 3A teams)
Dance @ 1:45
Kick @ 4:30

Preference!

Wow!! It's been a busy month! Two weeks ago, the Waspettes hosted their annual Preference dance. It was a huge success, so thank you to everyone that came! At the assembly, we performed a co-ed dance with the boys. It was super cute and the boys had fun being "part of the Drill Team" for the week. They worked hard and came to some of our early practices just to work on the dance with us. Thanks for working hard boys!
